Anyone have sub in their '01 HD?

Has anyone here put a sub in their 2001 HD? I contacted subbox.net but they say the box for the supercrew won't fit with the bucket seats in the back. Anyone have any ideas? Are there any companies that make boxes for our models? Thanks.

Just a thought....I ran the speaker leads from the two rear speakers and a 12 volt power lead to the center console, then mount a powered bazooka tube on the floor in front of the rear console. I rarely carry rear seat passengers, so it works fine. If I carry someone, I just quick disconnect it and hide the wires behind the console.

Trying to figure out a way to mount it so it don't slide, and don't mess up the rear console. Tried Velcro on the tube to the carpet, which sorta worked...now I just wedge some foam rubber between it and the front console. I got the tube at a pawn shop so it wasn't much. I may have an enclosure made that will fit exactly between the two consoles, with the amp and sub both inside, using the existing wires.

Hope it helps....

check out... http://www.thirdeyesoftware.com/harley/index.html

I have a JL 8w6 wired down to 3ohms using 100watts from a 5 channel amp mounted inside the rear console... I don't listen to a lot of music that "hits" hard but is awesome none the less.

Great Idea!

Hey...I was thinking that using the rear console would be the best idea considering I never use it and it's just a waste of space without anything in there. I tried to go through your link on your website but i couldn't get through. Will JL Audio make a custom sub-box for me? How much will it cost? Thanks everyone for the help!

I'm in the process of building a box for my rear console in my King Ranch. I got a Polk Momo 12 that I calculated will fit perfectly once I build my custom box (needs .88 cubic feet). I will post pics and dimensions when I am finished.

Talking Yea, 00 HD!

Not much of a problem fitting a sub under the rear seat of the 00 (I must admit the look of the four captains chairs is too nice). But, if it where me, I'd probably remove the rear console, and have a box custom fit. Rear passengers really don't need it. do they?
