Has Anyone installed new exhaust/muffler?

Hey everyone...I was thinking of intalling a new exhaust system for performance and sound. I was wondering if anyone out there has installed one on their own and the results you got from them. What company and model did you use and what kind of sound do you get. I want the harley-like deep rumble but dont want it to be extremely noisey, just a little more powerful then stock. Anyone got any ideas? (I was thinking of the Flowmaster 50 Delta-Force) Thanks for the help.

Go true duals. I cut out the Y pipe, went back with dual SS mandrel bent 2.5" tubes to a Magnaflow 14486 DI/DO with integral X crossover, then out the stock tails and tips. The Magnaflow 14486 is the one a lot of Lightning guys put on their trucks, it's guaranteed for life, and the polished SS looks great. The Flowmasters rust pretty quick. Mine had a lot of rust in 1.5 years on the Dodge I owned. The Magnaflow gives the sound I was looking for, just like an HD should sound.

Mine was about $400. The Magnaflow I think was like $170 or so. The guy welded up the pipes from mandrel bent elbows and straights, that's what cost. Had to add an O2 sensor bung for the right side as it was removed with the Y. If I had to do over I wouldn't go back to that guy again though, I'd shop it a little more. I am please with the results though. It's all custom, nothing off the shelf, oh well.
