Wheels
Now your changing your story.
First it was "I can get a set of Harley rims for 1800 bucks..and Im thinking about putting them on my lightning"
Ok..no problem..thats your choice...I respect that.
now they arent harley rims but just lookalikes with a different center cap. Again...thats your choice in what to put on your truck.
However...when calling up magnacharger...I dont say "Gimmie a lightning blower" I would be asking for a supercharger for a Ford 5.4L engine.
Two worlds of difference. Also..what If I wanted to go with a centrifugal blower rather than a roots system? That copying lightnings too?
Follow my point?

ok, they aren't ford direct, they are knock offs, they will look the same, what difference does that make? If you wanted to save money and really had a harley f-150, you could just order the centers from ford, i believe they will fit from what i was told.
""However...when calling up magnacharger...I dont say "Gimmie a lightning blower" I would be asking for a supercharger for a Ford 5.4L engine""
I didn't ask them for "Harley rims" I asked them what they had available. They are making the Harley rims, and they are making chrome lightning (lookalike) rims in 22".
If you are this sensitive about your presious "harley" then to be true to harley you should sell the truck and buy a bike, if you don't have one already.

What if i wanted to go with any 20" rim, would that be copying the Harley F-150.
Well that's about it, I will not argue with another Ford owner over something as trivial as this. We both have nice trucks, just different attitudes.. Hope Ford doesn't come out with the F-150 Honda or F-150 Ninja next.

I have a bike....and yes..its a jap sportbike ..the fastest production one made to date to be exact
I dont much like the performance of harley motorcycles. Especially since accelleration, speed, and reliability dont exactly go hand in hand with the harley brand of motorcycles.
However the one thing they do have..is stunning looks. That trait hopefully is the only one that was transferred over to my truck

Looks like i've caused quite a rucus.
First of all...I have to disagree with both people.
The Harley Wheels have been out before the Harley Davidson put them on...I believe Ford/Harley just added a new Center cap. Ford did not forge these wheels in their own factory but asked another company that had been making them to make a set for the Harley's
As for supercharging, it was normally used on big rigs to get more power when ahuling. Racers sought out this technology to go faster and now they are being used on all different cars/trucks.
Either way, I agree with people try to make their truck look like a Harley. I dont mind the wheels but people are buying Harley Emblems, painting pin stripes and doing the interior. I think thats really dumb.

I take it as a compliament when someone ask about our rims. I can understand where your coming from Jax Harley. I'm kinda worried that with to many trucks wanting our style of design it may take away the appeal of the authentic Harley truck.
But if it's going on our brother truck the Lightning. I say go for it. It would be so sweet to have that power with these rims.
