Bull Bar on 2008 Harley Davidson?

Is it possible to install a "Bull" Type of Bar on the front end of my 2008 Harley F-150 AWD truck with that front end Valence & lack of tow hooks? Has anybody done it? Any Pics? Thanks!

I was considering a black bull bar with my 2010 but it involved cutting the centre valance of my bumper so I decided against it.

While I was looking, I found out a local shop (National 4WD) had done it to a 2008 HD. They had to cut two round holes in the bumper to fit access the brackets for the bull bar to clamp to.

With that valance, no. But get a new 4x4 valance from Tasca or rockauto and it'll be good to go. Your valance in more valuable than any other, you don't want to cut that up.

Then, you can **** off Darren by trying to sell it to him cause he just bought one that he has to paint because it's not black.

Highly recommend the Smittybilt black bull bar from Autoanything.

Measure twice (8 times) and cut once if that's what you're gonna do!

I'd really just get a $44 (just checked) valance from rockauto versus cutting up your $500 (yes, that's right) valance that can't ever be fixed if you cut holes in it.

Holy crap! $500.00! I guess I will be getting the 4x4 valence from Rock Auto before installing the Bull bar!
Now I'm torn between going Stainless or Powder coated black? I know the stainless will hold up the best over time & not rust but black would look so sinister? Ugh decisions decisions....... I plan on taking this truck with me til the grave! LOL

Yeah! That's why I've been so annoying about not cutting it up!

The stainless will last longer, but for what it's worth, that Smittybilt powder-coated one has been on my truck for over a year now and looks brand new when I wash it and it was $150 shipped after a discount vs. over $300 for the same exact one in stainless. So I figure you can run through 2 black ones before getting to one stainless. And with as babied as your truck is, I don't see it ever being an issue. The black ones have a 5 year warranty vs. lifetime on the stainless. The Smittybilt happens to be the cheapest all-black one from a good manufacturer, whereas the Aries and Westin black ones have a stainless portion I don't care for and all the other all-black ones are cheapies off eBay.

I feel a Spring time project comming up! Along with installing the Banks Monster Exhaust, Factory Skid Plates & Factory Tow Mirrors all sitting in my living room looking like a parts warehouse! Now if the weather would just warm up! LOL Thanks!

Jeez, it does sound like you're compiling parts! I'm sure they'll all look and sound great when you get em on when it warms up
