Two weeks now and still nothing...

Ordered my custom tune from Jdm two weeks ago, they told me I would have it in a week and a half... Called them today and they haven't even "built" it yet... They were very helpful and answered all of dumb questions .. But it seems like that's a long time... Said it would ship Monday .. It was $500.00.. I hope it's worth the wait!.. I am a very impulsive buyer and hate ordering stuff...ok, I'm better now.. Just had to get it off my chest .. Jim jr was friendly and helpful... He was obviously very familiar with my 08 Harley saleen truck.. His advice was tune, gears(4:56) and electric fans.. Said it would be a different beast..

Sound big to me.. He seemed to know what he was talking about . And googled the world over for people that are running it .. Pretty good reviews.. Gear set pretty cheap, will just yank them out if I don't like it

I've never seen anyone running gears that low on a stock tire'd truck, but it's not like I eat and breath gearing, so alright! It'll have a metric f**k ton of low-end! I'd rock some 4.30s, but that's the most. I'm real interested in seeing how this works out and what the results are. Jim and the rest of the JDM crew really do seem to know these trucks really well, so I would take his word for it.

Must be just a 1/4 mile truck. Can't be a DD.

I thought about that, but I didn't get that vibe from him. Could be wrong of course, but that gearing is really freakin low. My lead-footed butt might be able to deal with 4.30s with my 33s.

Kiss any decent mileage goodbye. 4.10's would be the MAX i wouldn't even dream of entertaining 4.56's on a stock tired 2wd truck not to mention killing off your top end. 4.56's would murder your traction off the line too.

That's pretty darn cheap, might as well try it out. I can't even imagine in my head how that's going to drive though. You'll have 1000 HP essentially at 2k RPM in 1st, but not be able to go over 50 on the highway without screaming high in the RPM range.
