Harley Davidson Exhaust

Are there different mufflers on the SVT Raptor and the Harley Davidson?

I know this post is over a year old, but I've wondered the same thing... Anyone have any knowledge on this?

The muffler on my 2008 Harley Davidson sounds much louder "better" than my 2007 XLT.

The factory exhaust on my 2012 HD is like night and day compared to the factory exhaust of the 06 HD I had before. I was just hoping that there is someone on the forum that knew if the 2011+ Raptor mufflers were the same as the ones that come on the 2011+ Harley Davidson trucks... Anyone?

That was easy! 2011 Raptor and 2012 HD have exact same part numbers stamped on the muffler

No problem man! Working at a dealership that has at least 1 of every single car made certainly has it's perks!

Right on man! Now I can listen to exhaust clips and have a pretty good idea about how close it's going to sound and let me be able to make a better decision on what to go with. Bc there aren't many HD sound clips out there.... It's mostly Raptor stuff. Thanks again bro.

Thanks you for finding this out.
I eventually went with the Ford Racing system made by Borla. It has a resonator and 2 mufflers going to dual exhaust tips. Borla® 140404
I also added Kooks headers which were installed by JDM in Freehold NJ along with the custom tune.
Great low end torque for street driving.
But still not a lightning!

Well just stick a blower on it and then it'll be better than a lightning! haha
