Got a deal worked out today on new 2000 HD. Truck list for 32,800. I'm trading in my 1993 Lightning with 80,000 miles in good condition, for a total difference of $20,300. Their also going to give me $200 and a pay for one night in a hotel since I'm driving my truck from Las Vegas to Kansas. What do you guys think? Is this deal in comparison with what you guys got? any feedback would be appreaciated. Thanks...........john

 

so you're getting about 6k or so for your '93 lightning... that sounds a bit low.

I've seen guys get 2000 HDs for around $26-27k.

I purchased my 2000 HD in early June of this year. It was used with 4400 miles but the truck was originally titled in August of 2000 so I still have over 2 years of warranty. The truck was originally purchased from this dealer and came back on trade for a 4x4 KR. I paid 23k + tax, title, license but with no trade. I feel that I wouldn't have been offered that price with a trade but now I am struck trying to sell my 93 Tbird on the open market. If the truck hasn't been titled you still have the full factory warranty and you need to decide how much that is worth to you. Since the truck is in Kansas you could wait until the late October when the weather up here turns to crap, then they might be willing to cut you a deal. Or the truck might be gone are you willing to gamble on that no pun intended.
