Eww, Ranger Harley would suck. Nothing against Ranger owners, but it's kinda like making a Focus Harley.
Expedition would be nice. It needs a bit of pepping up. Maybe I can talk my dad into getting one. (although he needs rugged utility than style and image right now)
How about a big honking Excursion Harley?

I read that it is going to be the same body style as the 2001 except it's is going to be SuperCharged. There putting in a lightning engine except Rousch is Detuning it with 20 Hp less than the lightning. Should be cool. Won't be hard either to get a chip and filter and maybe even be able to keep up with a stock lightning. I think I read the post in the lightning form. The article was from Blueovalnews.
I dont like the Ranger idea either. I only have one cause Ford was offering a great rebate and like 1.9 % interest and I very high residual value on the ranger. its just a daily driver that cost less to drive than if I had an older truck and had to make repairs to it.
on the supercharge deal I dont think so. think that its all made up.
I just dont think they are going to pay another company to detune an engine, just does not add up. shoot for that matter they dont pay them to tune the engine in the first place! the lightning is all FORD. now the mustangs are not Ford either, Ford builds the mustangs and then the aftermarket modifys the vehicles. Ford does not authorize the mods. and any mod is not covered by Ford warranty.
ya ya you tell me that the dealer honors the waranty but try taking it to another Ford dealer that does not deal with aftermarket and see what happens. Take a conversion van to a Ford dealer that does not sell conversion vans and try to get them to do anything, good luck. By the way Ford fully supports dealers that do nothing for modifyed aftermarket vehicles.
Matter of fact....any vehicle modified by an aftermarket company after if leaves the factory (Ford knows witch ones they are, the companys buy them from Ford, cause Ford sells them to them, Look at your sticker in the door jam, if it says incomplete vehicle)
Ford does not count the survey!!! you still get a survey but Ford does not count it in the totals for the dealer for blueoval.
I just dont see this truck being as part of the harley davidson line up, but we will see it could happen, but I dont think so
My 2 cents

There is definately going to be a supercharged HD version, I thinks it's for 2003 though. Not sure what 2002 will bring. I had heard it will be almost identicle to the 2001 based on the Screw. I hope not.
Well, from another thread, Patrick Schiavone, the guy who is doing the updated design for the 2003 F-150 was interviewed and this is the comment that basically says that the HD truck is going to stay an F-150:
"He's now working on a 100-year anniversary version of the Harley-Davidson truck, which will be out in 2003. And just beyond that will follow a completely redesigned F-150 line."
From that comment, I think we can rule out any vehicles other than F-150s for the Ford HD vehicle.

I found out the site address.

The only thing I was wrong about was the year. It's the 2003 that is going to S/C.
Tampa-Harley - What do you mean. There is not a single Rousch or Callaway dealership in Calgary where you can order those cars. We get our warrenty work done by any one of them around our town with no problems. We don't even take it to a SVT dealer.
I could be just confused on your post but I think thats what you were trying to say.

hay low rider
I dont think if a aftermarket part breaks Ford is going to pay to repair, If the dealer does charge Ford for the repair and its not a Ford part that failed let me know, Both of us will own new Ferrari's. We can blackmail the dealer or turn info over to Ford for a reward.
Now the dealership my bill the aftermarket company to try to get the repair paid for. But Ford is not going to pay the dealer. Matter of fact its hard to get any aftermarket company to pay for repairs at a dealer.
All the repairs you may have had at the dealer may have involved Ford parts and as long as a aftermarket part did not cause the failure its my federal law still a Ford warranty covered repair.
on the supercharge info you linked too. Do you have any idea how many times the manufactures send out projects to get evaluated before production. I have heard rumors that a HD f350 may be in the works (maybe 2004 model) and that has a Turbo also known as a form of superchargeing, anyway we will have to wait and see. cause there is no official word yet from Ford.

Tampa Harley-We just got warrenty work done on our Rousch Stang no longer than a week ago. Ford covered the bill. If not Rousch did. All I know is it wasn't me.
Also wasn't there a post on here from a cars salesman saying that it's already entered into the computer. And it said that it was also S/C. I will try and find that post.
