Tonneau issue.
Has anyone else received word their cover was in but, can't have it installed because of want of some mounting plates from Leer. My cover's been sitting at the installer for two weeks. Called Leer and indeed they are shipping out these plates the end of this week. Supposedly it'll make it easier to adjust and remove the cover. Also, someone who's had theirs installed already, does the plastic side rails need to come off? Thanks for your help.

My cover came with two large rails that run the length of the cover on each side.
These rails sit on top of the rubber covered edges of the truck bed.
at the base of these rails is a hinge that attaches to the tonneau cover itself that allows it to swing up like a trunk.
There were only 4 other parts to the cover, 2 were the little shocks that hold the cover up, and 2 were metal plates that mount to the rail itself that these shocks attach to.
Only other things were the bolt/brackets that attached the large rail to the bed of the truck. I believe there were 8 of these.
I guess they are talking about the little metal brackets that the shocks mount to. However the cover could easily be installed without them as they dont hold the cover on the truck.
