Cool

larry- got mine two weeks ago - my "in service date" is 3-3-01. Hang in there. By the way the key chain was loose in the case and put some scratches in my plaque/paperweight. I was able to polish most of them out.
The orange paint didn't look right on the calipers (wrong shade). They are now red.

No gift for me either. I purchased mine May 12, 2001 so I suspect I'll have to wait a bit longer. I hope that Ford doesn't leave out plan buyers though! (ie. with SCrew blankets)

They better not leave out plan buyers. I'll be going through Detroit this summer and I'd have to stop in and express my extreme displeasure with them if they do. Besides, as I understand it, that's the only way you know just what xxxx of 8000 you were.

Well, I got my plaque and chain. I'm #4328 built 4/2/01. I feel better now, don't have to go and put a contract out on someone in order to get my goods. Haven't seen them yet, wife just called to notify me. Yahoo.

It's been only a bit over 2 months since I got mine... So I guess I shouldn't expect to have it for a while yet... I really want it though. It'll help me brighten up my days.

We in Canada are still waiting for our certi etc on the '00 series--coming I've been told and patiently waiting since I trust the guys (and gals)at Ford Canada to come through. If you want a blanket though like you lucky 01 people got, notice that Sears is selling HD logoded blankets for under $60 Cnd. If you'd rather have a John Deere blanket instead, you can order that instead, at a slightly higher price. Do I order both or just one? Which one tho?

So Casey K they are still coming to us fellow Canadians? I was going to ask you about that. Maybe I should give them a call just to see how it's coming along.

Hey Low: I'll send a followup to my Ford contact to see what's happening on the Cnd certificate and let you--and other know. I'm impressed with your vehicle lineup--what do you drive on a daily basis? ck

Casey K - I hope they can get the Cdn Certificate all organized and get a few out. That would be awsome.

They are all usally daily drivers. I store them at my place but they are both me and my brothers cars. We share all viehcle purchases. I drive the Harley everyday and he drives the Mustang. We just sold the Camaro yesterday and we are planning on selling the Prelude in the next couple days. Some guy in Cali is flying up to see it. So the list is getting smaller. But i think we are going to replace the prelude and camaro with a new M5.

Low: on the certif, got email from Ford today stating it will still be about 2 months, but coming...patience has its virtues with Ford I've discovered--that would make it Oct 1.

On the car stuff: the road test I read on the M5 last week sounds awesome. Would dawdle between that and a Boxter S since the M5 reviewer complained mildly that in essence BMW has created a too safe, best handling car--not enough scary bits with fast driving with all stability control etc. I think I could handle that ride
