Question Engine Code

Soemone here (Harleyguy?) told me I could find the engine code on the sticker inside the driver's door. Well, I looked and there are a few number/letter combos there, but I can't decipher which is the engine code. Any help? Also, looked under the dash on the passenger side and didn't see it there. There was a panel, is it under that? Thanks in advance.

Wink

hehe, my bad. I think I found it. Does UAT3 sound like it could be right? Also, how many differnet codes can there be? If someone is selling a chip, do the codes have to match exactly? That's my last mod. Well, maybe a little drop, depending on what Lowriders looks like! Thanks.

Yup..sounds good to me.

Its not that there are different codes for every truck...I think there are just specific codes that superchips needs to knwo about to avoid "problems".

Cool

baddgene, you found the computer code, all right. The one that is needed for the Superchip. The code on my truck is UAT3 as well, btw. And, yes, I do believe the code must exactly match.

To find out exactly, check in with Mike Troyer over in the Computer forum. Great fella, and he will be happy to assist you whether or not you purchase a chip from him.
