Hey Jim

I received my Jacket a long time ago. Did you not get a letter from Ford about it? The Key Tag and certificate seem to be a U.S only deal. Not fair.

Is the key chain and stuff a US only deal. Thats what I heard. I got my jacket only about 3 weeks after the truck. Never did hear anything about the key chain and certificate. I'm kinda pissed about that.

shoulda got the jacket offer shortly after your purchasing--got mine just before Xmas.
The anser I got from Ford confirmed that the keychain/plaque etc was strictly a US initiative by the Marketing group, not the sales group. Maybe our Ford Canada marketing guy was out to lunch when this initiative was discussed between the two groups...or maybe they don't share? So far the only negative to owning this truck and Ford support so far--complain and fax both Ford Customer Service and copy the F150 brand manager. Can't hurt

Hey Chaean -

Which dealer did you get your truck at?

I live in Decatur - got my truck in NY actually... but already have my keychain and paperweight.

I suspect a lot of delay may be in the length of time your dealer actually informs Ford that they sold this truck. Ford's jacket letter got to me 6 weeks after purchase; the tonneau offer took 11 weeks to arrive on paper even though we Canadians weren't originally part of it, but my first ownership survey from Ford took less than 4 weeks. My dealer didn't seem to waste any time--also an SVT dealer and they're trained to act fast.

Thumbs up

I bought a H/D leather jacket last week. This afternoon, the UPS guy drove up with my brand new 2001 F150 HDS with tonneau cover. I must be one lucky guy.

See:

I guess that where I have the problem. My Dealer shut down over the winter. City Ford in Richmond Hill. Maybe that's why I got a good deal.

With the tonneau deal I still haven't responded because I have one already and all the accesories or the cash I'm still undecided and been so busy with the business.

Any help from you guys would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Jim C.

Wink

Did you buy the tonneau cover? Hard or soft cover??? Thinking about getting one. How much was the leather jacket?

Thanks,
Rocky

Hey Jim

I took the $900 certificate instead of the cover or chash. Don't they only give you cash back as a refund to a cover you purchased? Anyway, I took my certificate to Northtown and the first ressponse from the Parts Manager was that he knew nothing about it. He had a conversation with the sales manager and that fixed the problem. It ended up taking about 2 Month to get all the things I ordered. At the end I still had just under $200 left over and I didn’t know what else to get. My buddy in Sudbury was getting married so as part of the wedding gift I ordered him a full front cover for his Stang. The guys at Northtown were great at helping me out. The delays were due to no stock and or me not knowing what I wanted. If you go this route be aware that only Ford Accessories are eligible on this certificates. You cannot order parts. I tried to get the L taillights as part of the deal but Ford said no. The Parts Manager was nice enough to give me a 20% discount on them so I only paid $50 a piece.

Hope this helps

Martin
