I was just wondering if there was anyone who purchased a 2000 HD F-150 after January 1 2001 who has received a Certificate of Origin? I bought mine on Jan 6, and haven't received one yet. I got the jacket a long time ago , and I bought my own tonneau cover (which Ford paid me for!!), but I was hoping to get the Certificate also. I hope it wasn't a one time deal just for those who bought them in 2000.

Got my truck in late November and did indeed get the cert and plaque.

Took a few months..but I got it.

Got my truck in mid February and did not get the cert and plaque.

 

I finally got my cert. today in the mail. I bought my truck sept. of 2000. thats 9 count em, NINE months and about 30 calls to ford cust. service to get it. Finally!!!!!! I am # 3111 built july 26, 2000. That makes it a wednesday vehicle Now if my tonneau would just come in.

 

I've made about 30 calls myself and still nothing. Been told 3 times "it's been sent to the vendor, allow 4 to 6 weeks" It's been monthe and still nothing. Now, how sorry is this? When I ask who the "vendor" is, so I can call them directly and check, Ford customer service says, they don't know who the vendor is and can't find out. Say what?! The vendor has it, we don't know who they are, wait 4 to 6 weeks. BTW, got my truck in December.

OK. I've got to take everything back I said about Ford. Today in the mail, a priorty package from Houston arrived. It was my certificate , plaque & keychain. I am now officially #5951. Built Sep 11,2000.

Keep the faith, there's still hope for the rest of you.

 

Us Canadians up here have no hope for reciving a certificate. Is that true???

 

Kingie, I'm really glad to hear you got one. That means I should too!! It's a little strange but I have a Post Office box, and on Saturday I had a notice in it that I had received a package that won't fit in it. Since I wasn't expecting anything, I'm hoping it's the Certificate! I'll let you all know how it turns out , and thanks for all the replies.

Canada calling here--I've had no luck with Ford Canada on this issue since they say it's a USA thing through Marketing and faxes to the F150 brand manager and Cust Assist have been negative. If anyone in the US wouldn't mind emailing me the letter you received with the certificate and any contact mentioned, I'll pursue it with Ford US. I can't complain tho since I've got the jacket, a couple of fleece zipups, and my cover has arrived and gets installed Tues. But as an SVT owner, I value the certificate I got since it shows the car is not run of the mill--as are our 00 HD's. Ford marketed these as being special; the certificate would prove it (or all you have to do is drive it and accept the Nice truck compliments )

Picked up my Certificate at the Post Office today!!!!! Truck #6738, built Sept 21, 2000. ( On a Thursday!!) It's really nice, and I can't wait to get it mounted in the truck. I think I'll put it on the passenger side airbag cover. I don't know what I'll do with the keychain. I can't forsee carrying that heavy thing around all the time.. LOL!! They must have shipped out a large batch of them since several of us got them at the same time. It was worth waiting for.

Hey guys just got my keychain and plaque in a few days ago, I'm #7665 built on Oct. 4. Going this Saturday to the the Leer tonneau cover put on, Can't Wait!!! Keep up the hope for you guys that haven't got some of the freebies yet.

 

Guess what??!!!! Still didn't get my sh** yet ;-) I did get a call from Ford yesterday, saying it was in the mail. Hmmm...where've I heard that before?! Can I get a group of you to cross your fingers and toes for me? Please!
