Unhappy Check Engine Soon

I drove to a friends place in Sudbury (about 400 km north of Toronto) last Thursday for a little vacation time. The trip up when fine, Truck ran great. Once I was up there I drove the Truck a view times on short trips and no problem. Well on Saturday I was driving from the beer store back to my buddy’s house when the Check Engine light comes on and the Truck starts to stutter when I pressed on the Gas. I took it straight to the Ford dealership which was only a few kilometers away (Just happens to be where I bought the Truck). The service guy hooked it up to the computer and the Truck was posting a Torque Converter Circuit error. Since I had arrived just 5 minutes before closing I had to leave the Truck over the weekend (a long one at that). Well yesterday after a few visits to the service guy he tells me that they found metal shavings in the Transmission and that they have ordered a brand new one from the plant. They gave me a rental and I had to drive it back to Toronto. If the Truck is ready on Friday I will have to go back up. I was planning on going back up there next week anyways, because my buddy is getting married, but the rental is only free until the Truck is ready. Holly driving if I have to go again this weekend.

What fun

Did they say anything that might have caused that damage. Cause thats a little scary, it's to bad that had to happen. Hopefully it will be ready soon, good luck. Gonna mention it to the shop when I take it in for my 5000 km oil change.

The Truck has under 16,000 km on it. In fact I took it for an Oil Change the day before the Engine Light came on at the same dealership. No enemies, as far as I know. They did not say what caused the damage. My guess would be that it was like that from the get go.
