Post Where is my cover!

Let me know if any of you Harley F 150 owners out there are going through the same crap as me. I ordered my free cover in Febuary and still havent got it. The dealer said that leer hasn't started production yet. Is this true? Let me know.

Well, after getting no response from the dealership, even after talking to the manager, I called Leer and found out that my cover wasn't scheduled till the end of June/ first of July because the dealership had stated that I had no lock - which is not true. (Evidently the people with no locks got sent to the end of the line..) I was rather unhappy because I was on the phone with the person filling out the paperwork and told him at that time that I do in fact have a lock.. he still got it wrong.

The lady at Leer was very nice and said that since I have a lock she can move me up the line a little.. so I have to call back the first of June for an exact date but it should be within the first 2 weeks of june.. Then it will go to my brother's body shop so he can paint a customized harley logo on it..

Cool

You need to have your dealer get the $$ for you, LowRiderHD2000. If he doesn't know what to do, have him call that special 800 number for HD Ford owners and they will tell him ho it works-- I don't have it handy here, but hopefully you have it.

I had to give a copy of my invoice for the cover I bought to the dealer. Ford will reimburse you up to $550 max. My cover cost $645 with tax and installation, so was out some $$$, but was still really pleased with the deal.

Just got off the phone AGAIN. The cover that was going to be shipped in the middle of May is now scheduled to be shipped the first week in JUNE. Lucklu I asked if it was still being shipped to the Leer dealer listed on my paperwork. NO-this was changed to another location in another city. I called info and got their number and wonder of wonders, they were no longer in business in that city. Called Leer back and am now waiting for their sales rep to call Leer to see where to ship the cover. Supposed to call them back again Monday.

Frustrated??? Naaaaaaa

Thanks A lot Harley Guy, I was able to find the number and I have my dealership on it. You got a good price with your cover. I ended up getting a cover with ARE LSII spoiler and it ended up being $1300 cdn.

I went out and ended up buying my cover, I asked for the cash instead, that was about a month and a half. no word on it. Did anyone else know if someone took the Cash or the certificate.

Thumbs up

I bought a tonneau right after purchasing the truck when "supposedly" no cover was going to be supplied by Ford. And, yes, I did get paid for it. It took a couple of months and the money came in via my dealer.

Guys,
Don't worry too much about not getting a cover. You loose directional stability above 80 mph with the cover installed. If you don't believe this is true, that's OK too. Later

Where can I find more information about the free cover? I just purchased 2001 F150 Harley Davidson this past Sat. No one at the dealership said anything about a cover, and it really didn't take long for me to realize I need something like that... I was pulling junk and crap out of my trade-in SUV and loading them in the truck bed when it started to rain! Argh!

The free tonneau deal only applies to the HD 2000. 2001 SuperCrew owners do not get one for free. Sorry
