How can I find out what number my truck was coming out of the factory. I noticed some peoples signature says 3129 out of 7000.

 

Some of the Y2k Truck buyers were treated with a nice little engraved emblem to mount on the truck that had all the information on it.

Owner name, Vin, Build number and date etc.

Yep, it is a very nice emblem. You can't see it too well in this pic, but it gives the build date, the owner, etc. Pretty cool!

seems only the USA customers get the build certif etc; spoke to Cust Assist twice on this matter and faxed the F150 brand manager--NADA! Answer I got was this was a Ford Marketing initiative seperate from any HD incentive. Got my jacket, 2 fleece pullovers all with logos, and am awaiting the 'free' tonneau. Wish Ford in both countries could get their act together on this--we need more Canadian owners to push for the certifs and the emblem. My '99 SVT Contour was #401 out of 2760 and I have the Ford paper to prove it. Nice for a limited production run. Wish the Ford guys in both USA and Can could get together on this one for us '00 HD owners. Would be a nice and final touch. Phone and fax guys!

Nope.

I think we all went through this last fall. The number mysteriously shows up only with the certificate. I think it would interesting to compare vin #s with certificate numbers with build dates
