Cool Windshield "shields"

Am I slow to notice? While cleaning the inside of the winshield last night, I discovered that the "dots" around the perimeter are actually H/D shields.

Yep, that's one of the differences between the '01 and the '00.

Pretty cool!

Just got back from a trip to Arizona, with the SC ran btwn 85 & 90 @2200 to 2400 RPM. Fuel averaged low of 12 MPG to a high of 16.1. The truck had been dropped 3" front & 4" back. I hardly knew I was moving this fast (this was in the desert area). Question is a rock broke the windshield and I wonder if the 2001 you mention would fit. I am trying to keep the outside appearance basicly stock, but his sounds like a good thing to replace with if it fits.

Wow, great idea! If my windshield were broken, probably wouldn't have thought of that before, but I certainly will now!

Please keep us informed how it goes!
