In my opinion the 2 best "accessories" would be a K&N FIPK and a Superchip. You'll love the extra power and the sound. Both are fairly easy to install and both work well for the money.

Wondering if anyone has any comments regarding the LED Lightning 3rd Brake Light? The guy at FordPartsOnline was trying to sell me about one of those after we got to talking about the Lightning Tailights.

Would it be a worthwhile improvement?

I personally don't care for the Lightning 3rd brake light. But that is my opinion. I do like the taillight!!!

Cold Air Intake kits are very common mods to almost any vehicle. Plus it looks better under the hood than the stock system and doesnt require expert mechanical skills to accomplish.

As for the Superchip, its also another very popular mod. While it will cost you more in the long run with having to run premium gasoline when the superchip is installed, most people love the performance gain and firmer shifting the chip provides. You really cant go wrong with either mod.
