Cool Keyless Keypad Installed

I just installed the keyless keypad in my HD truck tonight. It only took an hour and the directions on How-To were perfect.
The part numbers from Ford are:
YL3Z14A626AA Keypad $ 57.50
XL1Z7822405BAH Door Handle $ 41.00

I got the how to from th elightning board thread, and the parts from my local dealer, you can also get the parts from fordpartsonline.com for around the same prices.

In the "L" thread there was troubles with getting the wrong keypad and its cord not being long enough to reach the connector in the door. Did you have this problem?

Thank you

Chris

Question

I saw a thread similar to this on the "L" board. Where did you find the How To?

Where did you get the parts from? Local dealer?

I didn't have any problems at all. As long as you order the keypad for F150 you shouldn't have a problem either.

Harleyrules,
Kewl! Your post is the reason I'm on this thread. Any hints, tips or techniques on removing the door panel?

Removing the door panel is very easy : ) First remove the "sail panel" the cover on the left upper part of door around window, pops right off, underneath is a screw, remove screw, next pop off cover behind door handle, there is a screw, remove screw. Once that is done, just lift the door panel straight up and it is off. Of course, unplug all electrical items, very simple...

Got all the parts.
Read the L thread; but what did you do about the screw that holds the keypad in the door handle...parts don't come with one.

Motorworf,
My dealer gave me several screws, he wasn't sure which one I needed but the right one was in the bunch. You just have to make sure it isn't too long, no longer then 3/8 of an inch. It was a trim screw I believe, I have more I can send to you. Email me and I will mail it to you.
