Post 2001 HD bed cover

I just got my truck back from Ford this morning because i had them install the Snugtop bed cover. It looks like it was made with the truck. They couldnt have done a better job with it. The lines on the Snugtop are so clean that you can hardly notice the bed cover. I would recommend the Snugtop for all of the 2001 HD Supercrews. But this is just my opinion. Are there any other brands yall have used?

Wink

Mike, top sounds nice. I went for the ARE LSII so I guess when we get our trucks together sometime they will be a little different anyway. Can't wait to see your truck with all your modifications done. Sounds like your gonna have one sweet ride. Now spill the beans on the supercharger, are you gonna do it? Which one? You know if you do it them I may have to do it just to be able to keep up with the Jones' you know. Just trying to find some way to justify jumping off and getting mine blown. Take care,

I put the A.R.E. LSII with the wing on mine. I couldn't stand it, I thought the wing would look cool. It does. Also, got the Silver Grey liner fabric, which is a darn good match for a BedRug. Plan on installing one later.

Cool

Hi 01 Harley, got a question for you. Tell me more about the remote control locks on your lid. How much was it, how does it work and is it something that looks like I could add later now that I have the top or did I miss the boat on that by not ordering it at time of manufature? Got any photos of that lid and the automatic locking mechanism. thanks in advance for your reply, and take care HarleySupercrew

HarleySupercrew,

Sorry for the delay in responding, but the unit replaces your look and then learns your remote. Just go have to you ARE dealer and describe it to him. He will not know what the heck you are talking about, but when he calls ARE they will have it there is less than a week. ARE says the price is 119. My dealers said the price was 150. When I questioned him he said, oh he made a mistake.

Get it. You will like it. No more extra key!

Thanks, 01Harley, sounds like a real nice useful upgrade to the top. I will call the dealer tomorrow on that. Take care,
