Post This is interesting

Got some information from what seems to be a fairly reliable Ford source:

USA Today ran an article last Friday, March 23, 2001 on the 2001
Harley-Davidson Supercrew truck, by Mr. James R. Healey. If your friend
from FLA can get that newspaper, he'll find a nice memento to keep. He can
also obtain the article on-line. It is a very good write-up on the truck.
The author is a man after my heart: he asked why Ford couldn't make a 4x4
Harley? Heh-heh. He'll soon see . . .

This was just a general email as this person knows I'm buying a 2001 HD. The last sentance is what may be interesting to some.

Uh, low profile and cool skinny tires on 20" $1000 wheels going off road to get rowdy and rumble?

Nah, don't think so. Gonna do that, get a second truck.

4 X 4 - no way. Its a low, lean, performance machine. Would you want a quite, liquid cooled, plastic coated motorcycle? If you did you wouldn't own a Harley.

Different Strokes for different folks.
