Post Driving Light mod

the way ford set up the driving lights always buged me. i wanted to use the auto headlights but i also wanted to use the fog lights. so i was looking at the hot to section on this sight and saw a mod. (designed for a lightining but will work on the HD f150). anyways they way they said to do it was very difficult and requited modifying the switch. i didnt want to do this so i spliced the driving light wire into the headlight wire. now when ever the auto lamps are on so are the driving lights. if you want info on how i did this got to the how to section or e-mail me. it is really neat. plus now the driving lights stay on for 20 sec with the regular low beams. if you splice them diffrently you can also make the driving lights stay on whenever the awitch is in the auto lamp mode. i didnt have to cut anything either because i got a wire splicer from home depot. it cuts the insulation and contacts the wire without cutting.

The reason Ford didn't want to have the fog light's on by them self's is cause people will only have the fog's on instead of the normal light's, witch can have alot of problems with police and what not.

i made it so the driving lights are always on with the headlights. i think that is how they should be. i agree they should not be on by themselves

Yes,

But is there a way for us "Outlaws" to perform such a procedure as to only run the foglights?
