Post Looking at 2000 F-150 DH

I am going to look at a 2000 HD truck today it is $26,900 and has about 900 miles on it. from the pics it seems to be in exellent condition with no damage. if it is as nice as it looks in the pics i think i will be purchasing it. i just wanted to get your opinions on the price and anything too look out for.

Thumbs up

New 2000 editions are getting more rare on dealer's lots. As we are all aware, there was a pretty good closeout sale for awhile, and Ford was offering them up pretty cheap. Once they're gone entirely, it is possible that the value of the truck will go back up due to it being the first year made, etc.

With only 900 miles on it, you are basically just buying a new truck unless the first owner abused it. It should be perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it as long as you look it over closely.

One thing to keep in mind. If you will not be the original owner, you will hard a time getting the goodies that new owners got or should be getting. (jacket, plaque, key chains and the ever elussive tonneau cover) Check into that first, and use that info as a bargaining chip!

Cool

well i put the downpayment on the truck today. i will be picking it up sometime next week. i bought it from a dealer that deals in slightly used high end luxury and performance cars(ferrari, porsche, viper, prowler, ect.) The owner of the place says he bought 2 from a dealer (marooney) and sold the first immediately. he said that he drove the one i bought since he bought it but decided to put it on sale??? so maby if i keep in contact with him i will get the extra goodies. it had 3000 miles. But the one i bought had the window and cd changer so i couldnt talk him down too much because of higher mileage. I also went for a test ride. handles REALLY nice. i wasnt too impressed with the power but i didnt expect to be. off the line it good, the wide tires really help. seems to run out of gas in higher RPM. overall it was in real nice shape!!! cant wait to go get it on MON or TUES.
(i also got a thumbs up and a honk from a HUGE chevy extended cab sportside that was lifted about 2 ft.nice truck but i perfer to go low.)

Talking

Hey, a big CONGRATS, 2000F150HD!!!!

If you're unhappy with the power, you can always chip it, etc. I'm really pleased with mine after a couple of mods.

The truck is awesome, and you're gonna love it.
