Hard Cover for 2000HD
Has anybody had any luck getting the free hard bed covers from Ford for the 2000HD's?
I went to a truck top place that sells the Leer products and the girl there showed me a letter from Leer informing there dealers to pass on the info to HD owners that Ford is paying for this cover.She could'nt give me any info except to talk to somebody at the dealer I got the truck from.Of course the dealer has no clue about this either.Is there someplace to get this purchase authorization from so I can "help"the dealer get a clue?

Just call the number listed on the letter for the Harley/Davidson Headquarters. They can give you all the info you need. BUT HURRY!!! The deadline for ordering is March 31st!

i never got a letter from ford about the tonneau becuase i just bought my truck today.
it is used truck but i bought it from a dealer(exotic car dealership not ford). it was the dealer owners personal vehicle untill he deided to sell it. now i dont know what is going to happen about tonneau and other goodies i have heard about. do you all know a number i could call to explain this. all i want is a factory ford tonneau. i dont even mind paying. but free would be cheaper!!!
i might just go to the local dealer and ask but they might not care since it was bought from a dealer 100 miles away.

I don't think I'll get it though because I'm not the original owner of my truck.
But I am not going to let that stop me from knocking over doors all the the doors I can until the 31rst of Mar.!

i called the number today the girl said she would talk to the division manager and get back to me in 3 to 5 days. i think they are going to say no because im shure they gave the letter to the original owner and they probably dont want to give out extra free tonneaus. im going to ask the guy from the dealer i bought it from if he has the letter. i also need to talk to him about the certificate plaque and keychain. i also would like the jacket but i would rather get the other stuff. also if i miss out on the free tonneau could i buy the same one from ford or directly from leer?? i would be willing to pat for the factory tonneau. mostly because it looks nice but also because the factoey key will work with the lock cylender. is there any other tonneaus that the cylender will work in if i dont get the ford one?

There should be some extra covers available from Leer. I bought a cover before I found out that Leer was providing them. Then when I heard about the Leer cover I ordered that. Later I heard Ford would reimburse those who bought covers, so I'm in the process of getting that done. That means the cover I ordered from Leer will become an "extra". Try to get the "customer number" from the original owner. That is the first thing the Harley people ask for. Hope this helps!
