Post A FAKE!!!!!!

It was bound to happen...

Was in Waldorf, Md yesterday in my HDF150. When low and behold there was a faker parked in the 7-11 parking lot.

He had the rims and lowered maybe even "Hyd" the truck but no badges. And the pin stripe was the wrong color.

When the driver came out he kinda stared at mine with a lost/guilty look on his face. BUSTED

tsk tsk tsk

ps I am slightly joking here....The "L" boyz get kinda ruffled when they spot a fake "L".

Know what you mean. I saw a "white" Harley truck in a movie theater parking lot on Sunday. It had everything except the black interior. It had the wheels, tires, badging, chrome exhaust and it was lowered but still had the tan interior with no Harley logos on the seats etc. I stuck a note on his windshield that I felt flattered he was imitating my "REAL" F150 Harley. Takes all kinds I guess.

thats intresting that they would rather spend the money turning it into the HD. that would cost alot. i think it would be cheaper to get the real thing. plus you have the genuine article not a ripoff. besides without the harley insides it is just a black f150 with rims lowering pinstripe and exhaust. plus some monochromeing and grills. but anyone could do that. if i was going to modify my truck i would do it origional not a nock off of something else. but i dont have to wory about that now because im the happy owner of a 2000 HD.

And that is exactly what us Harley riders say when we see someone riding a ricer V twin. Imitations can sometimes be better but it's still not original.

That may not be a true definition of 'fake'. He may of just been showing his support for his two favorite things -FORD & Harley-Davidson. I too have a 2000 Lariat 4x4 ORP 'Black' truck and considered putting the side emblems on it. Not to be a 'fake' but to support my likes! I use my 4x4 and unless Ford makes a F150 HD 4x4 I won't be purchasing one.
Also I own a real 'HD' motorcycle, but that's also my choice and do not hold it against anyone whom chooses to own a different manufacturer's product.
Glad your in Texas almost crashing every time you see a 'faker' cause along the east coast we are loaded with women with 'faker's'. You'd never get anywhere!

You guys should be flattered that they all want a HD F-150. But on the other hand, $32k for a 2wd truck?! I like them, but too much money, plus Wisconsin winters would play hell on these!!! Just curious, how many of you have a HD bike to complement the truck?

ford6mann, this baby survived the NW Iowa winter just peachykeen. Of course, it just doesn't go out when things are nasty.

As for its cost: It was worth every single penny and more. The fun I have getting drop jaw looks from people is great and I wouldn't take it off road whether it were a 4X4 or not, so why waste the money.

Yep, have two scoots here -- see the sig, bro.

Harley Guy; Guess it didn't go out too much this winter! I guess I'm just envious, 'cause it is a nice truck. I only wish Blue Oval HQ would have made the Screw 4wd. I guess even the best Screw up once in a while. Personally, IF I win the lottery, I'd buy a Lightning. If only they made a supercab!!! Thanks for the feedback.

I am flattered but on the other hand I did't pay $32k for a 2wd truck, I paid $27k and I ride a 1998 Wide Glide! Last time I looked on a ford lot a 2wd Supercab lariet was $26k so I guess $1k for the Harley seats, wheels etc etc etc is worth it to me.
