Angry Need ans. from other HD owners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys and Gals....

Could you please do me a favor...On my HD's rear window there is a small round rubber weatherizing gasket fitted between the roof and the molding around the window.

The area from the rear window to the molding has a space all the way around as if another rubber weatherizing gasket should be there..

Could you please check yours to see if you have 2 in place??? I would appeciate it...Thanks...John from NC

Hi John,

My HD truck has the space around the rear window just as yours does. My 97 and my 2000 Lariat also had the same space. The window never leaked since this gasket is more for cosmetic appearance not for sealing the rear window. I hope this helps you.

I don't like the space either but I live with it because I don't want anyone messing with it.

John, unless I'm looking at the wrong thing, it appears on mine that there is only one gasket and no additional space. (Looking on the outside, correct?) I re-looked at your pics to confirm the differences between our windows. Yours looks like your rear window is one sheet of glass, not the sliding one like mine. Maybe that's the difference.

Harleyrules, what kind do you have?

I noticed the same thing. The gasket sticks out on the SIDES of my rear window <sliding> but is not visible on the top. I would assume it goes all the way around...I just dont like the gasked bulging out on the sides.

Ohwell..if this is all I have to complain about..im doing pretty well
