Bowditch Ford in Newport News, Va have 2 2000 HD's and they just got in a 2001, has all options sans moonroof. It's up for grabs, Dealer said he'd put a moonroof in if I wanted this one. Dont know about that. Can install at dealership be as good as factory?

 

I am always leary about some dealer lacky cutting my truck so if I get a moonroof, its always a factory installed item. I would ask if it would still be covered by the nationwide Ford Warranty program or only as a local warranty with him. It would suck to be traveling and have that thing leaking real bad and nothing to do about it.

I've been told by dealers down here that I can't order one, they are allocated. I've been trying to get one with a moonroof but none are to be found in this area. Can you indeed order them??

 

I dont believe it! The dealer probably can get a hold of an F-150HD without the moonroof option faster. They'll do anything. Hey, the dealer promised my truck in early Jan after I ordered it in late November. I read a post on this board about the dealers couldnt put an order in until early Jan. So I confronted the dealer around the Jan 8th and he said he had just now put the order in. Wow! Anyways I'm getting back $1500.
