Well it came in and it's junk... Bad quality all over. Paint is a mess and it was damaged in shipping. I think I will keep my 2000 HD. It is not even close to the quality of the 2000. Looks like it was painted with a brush. You can have it!!!!

 

Figured as much...Well I guess our 2000's will get a better price down the road .... John from NC

PS..am thinking seriously of putting mine up for awhile and getting a 2001 Lightning for fun....

 

My 2000 has excelent paint,but it did have what appears to be a bristle from the brush they used stuck in the paint on the edge of the front spoiler.

 

Tell us what else what else wasn't right with Job 1 out of the KC plant on the 01..reason I'm curious is that my 99 GREEN svt contour was built there and we green guys seem to have less paint problems than our black, red and silver brethern as far as paint goes--my svt still has no stone chips after 2.5 years whereas my 95 black Intrepid seemed to collect them like trophies. And my 00 HD has no black paint imperfections that I've been to able to find so far. Noticed a lot of swirl marks on many black, brand new cars, of every brand at the auto show tonite. Swore I wouldn't buy black again--I am a sucker for medium distance black viewing

I took delivery of my '01 HD this weekend. The paint is perfect! I used a flashlight to check the paint on the entire truck! There was one little scratch on the drivers'-side door that will disappear with a little wax ... but that's it... purrrfect.
