Post Tonneau

HI,
I just called the number for Leer (800-525-8046) and gave them my VIN to verify that the dealer had ordered the cover. Yep.. it's on order but they don't expect them to start being delivered until the end of Feb.. Here's the funny part:

I asked the rep if she knew what the covers were going to look like - she said she had a picture of one.. they're plain black - no HD or F-150 graphics on them.. sounds like the standard tonneau for the F-150s - why is it taking so long then?

Anybody else hear anything different about the design?

Hey Lanna

This is what I had feared but had figured would happen. Just so happens I have a guy ready to paint a sweet design on the cover. It pays(this time)to plan ahead. Way to go Ford!!! Yeah right.....

Yep, My brother is going to paint a HD design with flames and ?? on it for me.. He has it all picked out. In a way I'm kinda glad it's plain so I can "customize" it a bit with the graphics.. but it makes me wonder why we are waiting so long if it's just a plain black tonneau?

Lanna,
if you get a chance, have a look at the Ertl HD-F150 model. I think we're waiting so long because this cover is special (provided it looks like that!) one. It's low profile and has sweeping curved raised lines, hence is real different from any others I've seen.
Take care, and glad to hear you're getting the certificate thing ironed out!
Regards....................Fred

Does anybody know if the 2001 SuperCrew is coming with a tonneau?
