Here's a pisser for ya: I just bought my truck Sept. 28th. I move to Florida and park it in my driveway...on Nov.19 some 21 year old drunk chick totally tries to drive through the front of my truck. The whole right side is ripped off. She hit is so hard it took the wheel, the hub and spindle, and part of the axel and ripped it right off! Then she tries to drive away! Luckily, we heard the explosion and went outside...it was the saddest thing ever! I still had temp. tags and 1200 miles...The dealership said they can "make it good as new" I am just a little leary...

Bummer! I'm paranoid about scratches (already have a few in bed from hauling a snowblower around) but this has got to be a crusher. I'd be devastated. Assumer her insurance will cover ya?

This is unbelievable! It's my worst fear that some jackass out there would wound my truck, which to date is absolutely mint!
I don't know; just seems nobody respects others' property, and it doesn't matter how new it is. Case in point: I'm driving my winter-beater, and this young woman pulls right into my lane, side-swiping me and forcing me into a snowbank. After issuing many expletives, and calling her every name in the book, I look up to see her driving off, too distant even to read her plate! The final straw was that I was left stuck in the snow, while she was fancy-free. My only real satisfaction was that the collision ripped off her passenger mirror, so I've got a trophy for my troubles! Alas, no one was injured, so that's gotta count big time.
Still, you just can never be too sure out there with such poor, inconsiderate drivers.
