Anyone know of a good source for lowering the truck. I think bringing it down 5 inches ought to really help the look of the 20" rims.

Hi Guys.... Had the *** end of mine lowered to match the height of the front.LQQKs DYNOMITE !!!

The person here in Nowns a Cusomizing sop and tols me all it took was to simply change out the rear shackle with a 2"dop shackle..Should coust you less than $150.00 insltalle...cost me 145.00 here,,, John from NC..

Another nice look you guys should look into is replacing the front and rear Ford emblems
with lighted ones... I have got so many compliments on mine and even have been pulled over by local PD's asking question about them..

They really shine bright at night... I don't have the Internet address of the Company I bought them from with me presently seeing I am out of town...

When I return I will post the address.. I just found it by looking at the various aftermarket stores that are out there... Mine cost $29.95 for the front and $2.95 for the rear...Took 45 mins to install... C Ya'll later

Hey agrv8vn

I am ordering a set of those lighted emblems this week. I found them at my local speed shop. I think they might even have them here at F-150 online in the product section. Was there any question by the police as to if they are legal or not? I am checking here in NY. They have some strange laws as to colors you are allowed to have on the front and rear of your vehicle. No need for they apology...I just consider it an altered state and have found myself there several times myself.

Cool

I'm having my HD lowered. The kit to do the entire lower of 3" in front, 4" in back is between $300 and $400. Either my Boyfriend or my brother will do it so I don't have to worry about labor charges,(I just have to either cook or babysit, depending on who does it.) ;-)

What exactly are the Lighted Emblems? I've never seen any. Of course I've only seen a couple other HDs on the road. One person asked if I stuck the Harley emblems on my truck to look cool. I did get my jacket the other day - now that is cool.. I've had several people comment on it.

Devlishz,

When I talked with the Roush Rep in Spokane I was looking at a 3/4" drop also. My bet is you'll be cook'n.....unless you have a real cool brother....(I am sure you do). I decided not to lower my HD at this time. Now, if you get yours done I surely would like to see it. I am sure we will run into each other one of these days in the Tacoma area.... I made the trip to Tacoma today...

Take Care,
Gene

Hey Devlishz

Too awnser your question on the emblems. They are the Ford logos that are on the front and the back of you ride. The blue oval and the highlighted Ford lettering looks pretty cool lit up.

JC Whitney has all kinds of stuff for the F-150 (discounts, too)

Best lowering kit I've found is manufactured by:

http://www.so-calspeedshop.com/index2.html

I called and talked to the designer. Full kit (front and rear) reatail for around $700 without new rear shocks. They are working on the shocks and they should be available (exra cost) sometime in January.

Hey, anyone know anything about the BedRug kit? I'm thinking of installing it since I'll have a tonneau cover anyway.

Curious how the handling has been improved or not with more front/or rear lowering. Any side effects on bumpy roads at speed? Thanks

Question

I've sent for the bedrug kit, lighted ford emblems, trailer hitch, cowl cover and window wind screens. Everything is from good 'ole JC Whitney. We'll see...

I'm trying to locate a HD F-150 side emblem--I'd like to put in on the tailgate in place of the plain F-150 emblem. Any ideas of where I can get one?

Cool

Motorworf,
Dealerships have them for about $120 apiece or go here: http://www.karkraft.com/truck_suv.htm

Their's are $99 each. They were listed at $49.99 for awhile, but after showing Mike Smith of FORD, lead engineer for the HDF150, he paid them a visit to discuss copywrite violations and the price doubled. I should of ordered mine before I tried to get Mike to give me some free one's during Biketoberfest in Daytona.
