Question Certificate of Origin

Hey Gang

I posted a message awhile ago under production # topic and got no response. The reason I am doing it again is that I received a message from someone that got an e-mail from Ford stating that they have no way to tell where a specific vehicle falls in the line of production. Now thats quite bizzare because I received several months ago a package that contained a black leather(I think it is) box containing a rather nice heavy keychain with the F-150 Harley logo on it. An oval shaped ribbed plate with a production date,my wife's name( its's in her name so I could get a good deal from her dealership) and a production #0854. Also was included a piece of paper called a "certificate of origin" which stated I believe the same info(sorry don't have it on hand..its in my truck in storage but I will check it for accuracy) I am just curious if ANYONE got this?? Anyone?

Question

Greg,
Off-topic question to your post.
Did you get a chance to snail mail me your photo's yet. I never recieved anything.

For your question, when I talked with Mike Smith in Daytona, I asked him how many HD's were made for 2000 and he said he did not know. I got the impression though that the 2001 would be based on how well the 2000 sold so to me it looks like the better they sale to more they will make the next year and that Ford was working on the 2004 already. This may keep your value higher if it was limited to say 10,000 trucks made in 2000.
Can your wife order the side emblems for less than $50 apiece$ I want some but hate to spend $100 for them!

Hey Harleyrider

The pics I haven't had a chance to take yet. I hope to get too the garage in the next week or two and take some. I will send as soon as I can. As for the emblems..I will ask her to check it out today. I will E-mail you this afternoon when I get an awnser. According too the guy who got the e-mail back from Ford he stated that there we're 7500 made in the 2000 edition. You can read his post under the topic "certificate of origin" at fordharley.com.

Yeah, when I sent this I went over there to check other board and saw your post about sending me some photo's. Thanks for checking about emblems.
I have been pretty busy since we got back from florida, doesn't seem as if many people are using other site.
You know if you want to keep the battery charged up on your HD 150, just sednd it south for winter instead of having to put it in storage. I will volunteer to keep it in good shape!
I know one thing, do not park it near any moving leafy branches, cause I took my 4x4 hunting last saturday on a new piece of property and you would not believe the damage that the smallest leafy branches and twigs caused. Even the rims have scratches on the clearcoat. Ford needs to put a little more lead in their paint because it did not hold up to the slightest little scraps.
You would think having a 4x4 meant you could go of road and it hold up against scratches, but not these new trucks!

I notice the Lightning trucks have an 800 number to call to get the "born on" date. Seems like the Harley Ford ought to have something like that, too?!
