Just posted under the Computer Chips area about my Superchip install. Went easy and I like it already. (Thanks Mike T.) I have the chip and just a K&N. I like the combo and I am off to Baton Rouge this weekend to get a dyno done. I will post results when I get back. For now I expect about 300hp flywheel based on info from dealer that the F-150 Harley (Lightning tuned muffler) is pretty free flowing and may add about 5hp. So with 28 for the chip and maybe 5 for the K&N I hope to see 300hp but who knows and I don't really care what it is as I like it no matter what. I do have the chance to get this free dyno so why not?

Hi F150HD,
Dynos can vary quite a bit, so no telling what you're going to see, especially if it's a Dynojet or other "inertia" type chassis dyno.
Automakers, serious tuners & Superchips uses only "eddy current" chassis dynos, as they have the ability to properly compensate for load factoring regardless of vehicle weight, whereas inertia dynos can't do that, so their numbers get skewed unless the weight of the vehicle just happens to match the weight of their rollers (3600 lbs usually).
Those automatic transmission drivelines will usually absorb about 65 hp from the flywheel numbers, roughly.
It sounds like the price is right, good luck on your dyno runs!

Just want to thank you again Mike for your help with my decision to buy the Superchip. It was as easy as you said to install and it seems so far to work as stated or even better. Not sure what kind of dyno they have but it is a big Ford racing team here in the south. They race midgets I think and do a lot of R&D for other teams. Oh well it is free so I will take it with a grain of salt. Like I said though I like the truck/chip etc now so numbers won't change my mind.
