I'm curious as well since the F150 mechanic that prepped my truck didn't seem to think it would add much on the power side--once the engine loosens up some more might consider it. Have used one in my '99 SVT Contour since day one--my SVT rep convinced me it would breathe easier--no complaints but can't compare it to the orig Ford since I've never had it in..ck

Mine is not the HD 150 but it is a 2000 4x4 Lariat with the 5.4L. I noticed no great gains in power or mileage but with the combination of K&N and a flowmaster the long term gains in a little increase in mileage may be better. More air can't hurt. May take awhile to recoup the $50 up front cost.

Put a K&N in mine last week. NO real differences seen yet. No Service engine lights so that is a plus. May take awhile to see any differences. I ordered a Superchip this week. Just waiting for it to come in. Hoping for 2mpg increase between chip and K&N. I don't drive my truck hard or really care about the increased performance. I would like to get better than 15.2mpg. So I am trying the chip and the K&N. Don't plan on any other mods at all unless putting on a less restictive muffler will help. Got a harley sticker on the sliding window and a harley license plate frame other than that the truck is used to haul by Wide Glide to Bike Week, Sturgis etc etc etc.
