Handling
I own a Harley f150 2000. I have noticed a problem with the truck shimmying over bumps that is annoying and bordering on a hazard.
Any similar feelings or should I Have this checked.Great loooking truck though.

To Bandsrme:
I just got my HD-F150 a couple of days ago and am experiencing similar problems going over bumps, although maybe not bordering on the hazardous, just annoying. Did you have yours checked out? If so, what did they tell you? I'd really appreciate the feedback. I still think the truck is great though, even though my buddy's Lightning could smoke me. Needs more power. (a $4000 supercharger)

Only have 900 miles on mine, owned about 2 months, have not felt any thing unusual over bumps. About half of the miles have been at high speeds 75 mph to 80 mph or higher on interstate 75, thru alot of construction zones too. One thing I can tell you thou is that I only drive my truck on weekend and I always check the air pressure before I drive the truck. Statement from wife "If he spent as much time polishing me like he spends polishing that truck he would have two more kids by now" hehehehehe
As a thought, drove my HD on some back roads with bumpy surface and have noticed some modulation driving fast over sucessive bumps but with low profile tires and the shocks expect this condition. I'm not sure this is a safety issue but more of an unerstanding of the dynamics of the Lighting shocks with lowered suspension + sway bar size etc that create a ride closer to a sports car than a truck. My SVT Contour on the same roads handles much better at ground holding but the HD for a truck negotiates the same surface better than a regular truck suspension at higher speeds with more control but like any truck I wouldn't want to over do it. Have noticed no shimmy or any other handling condition that I haven't experiened in my SVT Contour with directional low profile tires on varying road surfaces. Just a thought. ck
its all a matter of driving experience. There a huge difference from driving a huge excursion to a low pro truck. i have to agree that it is nothing to be worried about, you will get used to it and love it.
it just takes time to get comfortable with the truck.
