Vin #s
Does anyone know how to tell where my Harley truck was made in the run of 7500? The Vin# is 2FTRX07L0YCA89754
I don't know if anyone else has gotten theirs yet (have you?)but the other day I recieved a box from Ford which contained a box made of I'm guessing (fake) leather. Inside is a nice keychain with the Ford logo on one side and the Ford and Harley logo on the other. More interesting than that tho was a certificate of origin and a what I will call a production plate..(sorry I lost the letter and the name it is refered to as). Anyways it contains Model year, vehicle number, vin#,owner's name and the built date. The vehicle number I assume is the # in which your vehicle was produced.

I've been wondering about how to find out myself. If you learn the secret to decoding the sequence, I would appreciate you sharing that info.
BTW, I received my letter yesterday from Ford notifying me they will be providing a Leer Tonneau cover free of charge including installation and the free H-D F150 wool/leather jacket.

Hey GraBeard
I'm suprised to hear you just got your letter about the jacket. I got mine like a month ago and the jacket about a week after that. I must say it is a nice jacket! (So much for trying not to edit my messages)
I posted earlier about certificate of origin. It says on mine vehicle #0854 so I am guessing thats where I fall in the line of production. It has it on both the paper certificate and the fancy metal one on inside. It also has a Built date of May 31 2000 which seems kinda late too have a number that low.

Hey Hogwild,
Thankx for the input. There is a very good reason I just got my letter from Ford, I've only had my truck for about 3 wks. I thought Ford did a terrific job of identifying me and getting the letter to me that quickly.
Although I don't have 600 miles on the truck yet, I have noticed some of the same problems I've been reading about on this board though. This is a great way to exchange information.
I'm going to start a new thread to ask about the radio.
