2000 Harley owner, few questions

hey guys, got myself a 2000 Harley edition F series pickup, had 18,631 miles on it and had never seen water before me! thats right 18.631, miles.
anyway, im looking to gain some HP with out breaking the bank too hard, looked at ProChargers, S/C's and the OEM Lightning S/C swap too. but for no the (roughly) $5000 price tag for forced induction is just too high for me right now. Currently its only got a K&N intake, but i would like to get up to the 300HP mark. the 2000 is rated at 260HP/350TQ right? and is it the 3 valve or 2 valve 5.4?
i was thinking finishing off the exhaust with high flow cats and headers would be nice, then flashing the ECU. maybe something like a 60HP gain? unless im looking in all the wrong places but ti seems like there really isnt even a whole lot of performance parts available for my truck. could someone shed some light on this for me?

I can't help you as far as any mods but i can tell you that your truck (1st Gen) is the 2v 5.4 the 3v 5.4 wasn't dropped in the Harley trucks until (2nd Gen) 2006-08. Don't know that i've progressed you at all but I know there's plenty of guys on here that can further help you. Good luck.

All depends on if it's supercharged or not. If it's not then i'm about 99% sure that there is no dif than other "normal" f-150's of that time period. I'm more of a 2nd gen guy.

not in factory form, the supercharged Harley trucks were first offered in 2002

headers, gotts intake mod, a re-tune and e-fans will yield you like 15-20 rwhp

your truck is mechanically no different than any other PI 2 valve 5.4 F-150

and if you're looking at 4 grand for forced induction then you better be including a built motor and trans in that price

I've supercharged 2 trucks for less than 2 grand each (one procharger set up and one eaton conversion)

the 4r70 is a crappy transmission in a 5,000 + # truck behind a stock 5.4, let alone a forced induction 5.4

If you are planning on modding the 2000 F150 HDE, you'd best get yourself an entirely new or low mileage used rear end because that will be the 1st to go and they discontinued the factory rear end and you will never find a new one. Though I am replying to a very old post ...
