2010 HD Front License Plate

Just bought a 2010 HD, Love it!! I live in VA, and have to have a front plate, The dealer said that Ford does not make one for the 2010. They said they would have to get an aftermarket. I cannot find one.

I may be in luck, due to being in the military, I can tag it in my home state, that does not require one.

Any help on one in case I cannot would help.

Thanks

Just drill two holes in your bumper and bolt it up.

I know how you feel man I hate that dang front plate law...its just for money.

The dealer gave me a front plate frame. I turned it upside down and used black electrical ties to fasten it to the bumper. If you look closely the bumper has two dimple spots were you could use a screw to attach the plate frame. I wasn’t too keen on this method as I thought the frame might detach in the snow. The ties are working great for the last three months.

What's the difference between the 2009 and 2010 bumper?

Not sure about the bumper size difference. The plate frame actually mounts to the bottom grill bumper insert with the electrical ties. The only person at the dealer who was a hundred percent sure that a frame was available was my salesman who was also the heavy truck manager. It would probably look better without the front plate but I had to get one because if I go for a store run it could cost me a bill and a half if a traffic agent gives me a tag. The ties insure that it won’t fall off. If I had to guess the dimples are probably on every bumper.

I'm pretty sure the 2009 and 2010 are the exact same. Tell your dealership to give you a 2009 frame if they can't find their 2010 stock. There are a ton of people on here with 2010 F150's and have front plates with frames from the dealership. With the amount F150s sold, and the number of states that require front plates, do you really think Ford wouldn't make a plate frame?
