F150 Harley Sport Tube Size???

do you guys know what the circumference of the 00-03 F150 Harley Davidsons sport tubes is? and can you step on them to get out of the truck or are they just there for looks?

Heres a photo if you don't know what I mean, I'm asking about the tubes under the truck right under the doors

Also does anybody know if nerf bars/step bars from an 04-08 F150 bolt right up to 97-03 F150???

There's no way you can use them as a step. They are pulled tight against the bodywork.

Hit a wild pig last year and totally trashed the valance and intercooler.
Seeing as the L bumper is a bolt on replacement, I went with that as I preferred the look and it does make it different.
I had to import all the parts back to the UK and had to drive around like this for a while.

Release your inner Redneck

here are some comparrison shots

the Harley

a set of after market ones (the ones about to come off my green truck)

now let me go measure the diameter I had it someplace

the westin sport tubes are the best option now if you want to get a set but i believe they are a 1/2 inch smaller than the Harley-Truck factory ones

yeah those were the ones i was looking at... the diameter of them was 2.5 inches, but the only problem is i can only find them for the 04-08 f150s so thats why i wanted to know if they would bolt up to the frame of the 97-03 f150s

westin offers them for the '97-'03 trucks as well

they are the ones I'll be going with on my green truck (look on westins site, it's teh only place I found 'em)

yeah they are the same 2.5 inch diameter

the other option is to take a set like what's on my green truck and cut 'em down and reweld the mounting point inside for a similar appearance to the harley's factory
