Digital Dash Trick

I'm posting this here in the Harley Davdison F-150 section 'cause that's the two (2007) vehicles I have that I know this works on. I wuold guess it works on any '04 --> '08 F-150 with the dispay center?!? Feel free to copy this to other sections.

Yup, I had WAAAAY too much time on my hands today before work so....

I was thinking about how on my '02 there was a way to get the dash display into a "tech" mode and display DTC's, tach, mph etc. and thought there must be a way to do it on my '07.

So, without further delay:

Start by pressing and hodling both the "SETUP" and "RESET" buttons down at the same time while turning the key to on. You must release both buttons when "TEST" appears in the display

The first test is the needle sweep test:

For the rest of the test just use the reset botton to move forward through the menu

Next, is the pixel test:

Next, the idiot light test:

Next, part #:

Next, Serial #:

Now this is cool, it displays what programmed key you have in the ignition - I'm guessing A & B are the original keys...?

ROM & CHECKSUM:

NVM & CHECKSUM:

Final date?

Module Config?

DTC's - DIAG trouble codes - you may have more than one screen here:

Vehicle speed in MPH and KPH:

Tach:

Fuel:

Fuel INIT staus:

Coolant temp:

ODO Input:

Oil pressure:

Brake fluid:

Battery volts:

PWM DIM STEP?

PWM Input / Out??

PRNDL??

Park Brake:

Seatbelt:

Run / Start:

Run / ACC:

PD:???

TPMS - now this one is interesting - This appears to be the Tire Pressure Monitor System - but there only one value here - where there should be four! Maybe this is just the average?

There's quite a few more screens... then it wraps around to the beginning. Try it and have fun.

Sweeeet. I think I am going to try it on my truck. The TPMS number is probly the point were it gets set off at. Anything lower then 30 and it trips.
