should i get an '02 or '03

Hi everyone. I am thinking about getting a HD. I have had my '03 F150 for a year now and love it but i just want to get a HD. So my question is there really much of a difference between the '02 or the '03? I kow the front end on the '03 is a little different but from what i understand they are both pretty much the same. Does it really matter which one i get? Also, how much is the pully mod for the supercharger to make it the same one as the lighting. Thanks for all your help guys and gals.

If anything I would get a '03 just for the extra threads in the spark plug holes.

I did not know that. Thanks for that info. I really dont want to be ejecting a plug. I have a '03 right now with the 5.4. Now does that also have the extra threads or does the HD because it is SC?

No. All 03 heads went to 8 threads.

I went with the 03 purely because it's the 100th Anniversary model with a slightly nicer interior IMO.
Also, the 2 tone is the best paint scheme, period.

It's easier to change the lower pulley if you want to add performance.
Check out the supporting vendors like Troyer Performance who will be able to set you up with all you will ever need.

That is one good looking truck. Man i want one so bad. The only bad thing is that I have to find my wife a car first. All she wants is a corolla sport or XRS so that wont be very much dough. I hope I can find a nice one soon. I have my eye on a '03 with 57,000 miles on it. Its in good shape inside and out. They want $21500 for it. Does that sound like a good deal? Thanks for all the help guys. I hope to be swaping out my FX4 out for a HD soon. Oh I cant wait

03 HD is a really nice looking truck with the blk & gray exterior and interior. I have the 02 and im getting bored of the plain black inte. extr. look. but either way you go you cant go wrong with owning an HD truck

I too would go with an '03 for the reason of the plugs. As well as the two tone paint and interior. I wish, Have never seen one, they would have put the split bench in the rear instead of buckets. Also really wish they would have made '01-'03 Screw 4x4 Harley!! I would own one. If I could find a totaledone for the interior I would sure try to buy it.
