Blake "Fuzion" Finnell was a much loved member of the National Harley Truck Owners Club.
I never met him personally but did converse with him via the forum over there.
He was a resident of the Dallas area and got his HD truck in High School.
As one of the youngest members over there, we got to hear about all the high school stuff, Graduation, first serious girlfriend, part time job woes, truck troubles and all that happens to a teenage kid growing up today.
Fuzz was kind of like everybody's dorky younger brother or nephew to us older guys (who'd seen it all before) and tried to keep him on the straight and narrow.
In all honesty, it sort of kept us young and Blake took all we threw at him with a good heart.
He was the kind of kid who would help anybody and never had a bad word to say about anybody.
Blake became ill with a chest infection in the summer of 2007 which he could not clear. He was taken into hospital where his condition worsened and the symptoms turned to pneumonia.
Tragically, after a long battle, Blake passed away on 8-11-07. He was just 21 years of age.
Here's what was posted over on the NHTOC
After a long battle with pneumonia, Blake (Fuzion) Finnell passed away late Saturday night, 8-11-07.
I received the sad news from Blake's dad this morning. Blake's heart just quit working. He will be missed.
Marshall “Blake” Finnell, age 20 of Heath, TX, passed away August 11, 2007. He was born December 3, 1986, in Dallas, TX, to Harley “Bubba” Finnell, Jr., and Jerolyn Terrell Finnell. Blake was a member of the National Harley Truck Owners Club and founder of the North Texas Chapter. He attended Lake Pointe Church.
Blake is survived by his parents: Harley and Jerolyn Finnell of Heath; brother: Harley “Trey” Finnell and nephew Harley Cadden Finnell of Rockwall; sister: Brittany Finnell of College Station, TX; sister-in-law: Nicolette Finnell of Rockwall; grandparents: Lucille Terrell of Mississippi, Gloria Jane Cotton of Louisiana, Harley and Sue Finnell of Louisiana; aunts: Judy Seebach and Rhonda Lusco; and a host of close friends and family.
Blake's death hit us hard over at the NHTOC. Who expects a life to end so early?
Over 500 friends and clubmates who could, attended his funeral and Blake was buried in a black casket with chrome trim. One of the NHTOC members affixed his fender badges to the casket which was covered with an NHTOC blanket that Blake used in the hospital
A memorial thread was created to remember Blake's life over on the NHTOC.

Cool tribute. It's amazing how true friends can make a difference, even when you're not around. - Og

For those of you who were curious...
Blake was the one guy everyone wanted to know. He was the type of guy that if you needed someone to talk to, he would always listen, lend a hand, help in any kind of way he could. If you asked anyone who knew him what he was most known for they would tell you his kind heart, beautiful smile, his way with the ladies and knowing the "pretty red and blue lights" (as he called a cop car) that without fail would always find a way to be parked behind him. He had ppl come from all over the US to be at his funeral . There were over 1500 ppl in attendance to say goodbye... There was nothing that he loved more than Fred (his HD truck) He became very ill very fast. The doctors thought he was improving and suddenly took a turn for the worse. No one was expecting it. It has been six months and still to this day I find myself as well as other ppl still crying over the fact that he is gone. He was my best friend... Granted, im sure he was alot of ppls best friend. Everyone loved him.
Someone above made a comment that Blake was like a dorky younger brother... You have it all wrong - he was far from dorky (whether you were joking or not) Everyone wanted to know him and be his best friend and all the girls wanted to be with him. If you randomly watch on cars you will see the Fuzion decals ppl put on their car after he passed. I have seen them as far as Oklahoma to Galveston. He was the kind of guy who made you feel special even if you only were able to hang out with him for a few hrs... He was the opposite of dorky. He was the world to many people.
* Fuzion, you are very much missed and loved by all - I hope the cops arent giving you too much trouble up there!! Keep racing and I will see you soon babe *
