What a Shame!
What a Shame!
I know a guy here locally that has a 2003 Super Charged Anniversary model Harley Davidson F150 that he bought new and is using it as an average run of the mill pickup. He own a scrap metal business and he said he has lost rack of how many tires he has replaced. He said he always keeps a couple extra set of wheels and tires at work.
I saw him yesterday in our local Wal-Mart store parking lot and his truck has been really neglected and beat up.
He claims, "I bought it to use as a truck, what do you think a pickup is for?"
The carpet has at least an inch of dirt embedded in it. The leather seats are torn and cracked.
I realize people should be able to use their truck as they want but it sure seems like a real shame that he didn't just get an average F150.

On the other hand it could have been driven like it was meant to be, wrapped around a tree and strung out for several hundred yards a couple years ago, I guess that is ok though. It is easier to fix broke than scattered/wrecked.

Guy sort of sounds like me... heck I've tore some of my paint off my 8 month old F150... am I doing anything urgent about it?! No. I really don't care. I could bring it by the dealer and have them rip the door off and repaint it... but it wouldn't get put together correctly or stuff will be missing... so what am I going to do? Just get a rattle can of the color of my truck, clean the area up, and paint it real quick. I don't care how it looks, as long as it doesn't rust.

The difference is you are talking about a base model XL work truck that you have vs. a $45k fully loaded limited edition HD truck.
You're not really comparing apples to apples.
uhhh there is a huge difference between a xl f150 and an 03 harley davidson supercharged f150. they only made 10-12 thousand that year. comparing the 2 is like comparing oprah to jessica alba
