$30k out the door price???? or 39k??? are you trading one in and they said that you will get it for 30 and hammering you on your trade in? or are you putting cash down to make it 30k. and if you really did hear 30k, not saying that you did not get quoted on that price, but that is maybe thats why one did not get ordered for you/or arrive for you. they are hoping that you will get tired of waiting and not come back.

or in other words....until you drive off the lot with it, it is not 30k! there is a reason why car sales men are not loved by many people and where you purchase your car is called a stealership by many also.

good luck

I ordered one directly from the factory. i placed my order late in may so i didnt get it. they immediately without me harrassing them gave me an 08 for 30k out the door for your info. so there you go. i could care a less if you dont believe me, all i know is, that i got one hell of a deal.

AAFES car sales are pretty much locked in prices and can only go lower (you do have to pay TT&L however). I am curious how you got an 07 for 30k though.

MSRP is like what? 38k for base? Even with the milquote price and the rebate/military appreciation (1,750+500) and no options that would still be like 33.5 - 34k.

That's not to say you're wrong but I ordered an 08' F150 Lariat with petty much everything for 37k (no nav or heated seats) .I had a much higher rebate than offered on the HD so the price disparity doesn't compute.

In any event, good for you on getting over

Yes, double post.

Anyways, AAFES car sales are direct orders to the manufacturer. All you have to do is raise your right hand, say an oath, come to Iraq (or Afghanistan or Korea or Germany) and you to could get that factory direct smell.

So yes AAFES is a dealer but not in the traditional sense. You place an order, then it gets delivered to a dealership state side where you pay for it and the dealer gets a small handling fee from AAFES. It is no different then going to a dealership and custom ordering a vehicle except cheaper. There are no "car salesmen" involved. You sit down, talk to this english dude and he asks you what you want. He goes down every option with you then prints out a sheet you sign it and give em a deposit. Then you wait to get home from deployment and pick up and pay for your vehicle.

Feel free to change your sig, some of us aren't in a position to have our vehicles in our posession yet

hd84...not to get after you or anything but i would guess 84 and you overseas now...84 would refer to your year of birth. i would guess that you have purchased that many new vehicles. not to bring you down or say that you dont know...but just watch what you sign and what you are getting. things like this "Some rebates are conditional upon the purchaser accepting Manufacturer Financing or other stipulations, such as special equipment
requirements, etc. Purchaser must meet all requirements and conditions to be eligible to receive such rebates." means that things with the price given to you and price paid by you can change. $30k is about 2k in tax then another 995 destination and delivery charge...thats another 3k more than the 30k you got qouted on...the condition that the purchaser is to accepting manufacturer financing is a killer....hds are standard rate with ford and they are high if you dont do 36 months...its cheaper on the other models but hd never gets 0.0 for 60 months like a lariat gets all the time. just watch it...

keep your head and a$$ down and god bless.

Mr. TRoberts,

Just out of curiosity, how bad did they get you when the "stealership" sold you your HD? You seem to be carrying a bit of a grudge about someone getting a good deal.

Layne
