Unhappy Shaking

Has anyone had a similar problem with having there harley edition shake as they drive down the highway. My 2006 harley edition has a shaking problem when i hit about 60 mph. the wheel starts to shake, and eventually it dies out. My dealer tells me there is nothing wrong? Anyone have a similar problem or know what it is that is wrong? Thanks

hawaii roads..

If i could ever find some smooth highway out here in hawaii i would notice, but the roads here are too bumpy and raggedy...Plus now i have 24's, so it would be a different ride anyways..Maybe try a new balance on the wheels.

if you balance your wheels the problem might go away

If it happens in the AM or after the truck sits for a long length of time it is most likely the Nylon in the tires. They get a set in them and will thump for several miles till it rounds out.

I noticed this out of my 2007 Harley the other day aswell. I just shut mine off and changed the level I had it tuned too on my Edge Evo. Seemed to make a difference, not sure what did it.

That is exactly what the problem is. when i drive it in the morning after all nite of it sitting. But what does this mean: "shut mine off and changed the level I had it tuned too on my Edge Evo. "????

thanks

I have a tuner on my truck..its called the Edge Evolution. I shut off my truck and changed the level it was tuned too, that seemed to solve it, but I'm not sure what exactly changed to solve the problem.

No, No, No the thumping is caused by flat spots in the tires from sitting for a long length of time. As the tires roll out and warm up they become roung again.

There is nothing wrong with the truck or tires, just something Nylon tires do.
