I am looking at a really nice 2000 Harley-Davidson F-150 that has a rather high 159,000 miles. The truck is pretty much mint and the still owned by the original owner. He is asking $11,000 obo for the truck and it is the closest one I can find anywhere to me. I also can't find one that has been taken care this good either. What do you think? I really want it...so let me know!

Hmmm, that is a lot of miles.
Most people consider about 150k to be the life of a gas engine before it needs a rebuild.
I'd want to see a full service history from the delivery day to present with a dealer stamp for every service and oil change plus a bunch of receipts for any othet remedial work.
If it's the original owner and he's babied it like you said, he should have this.
If there's no proof of service, I'd walk away and find another.

Kelly Blue Book says $9040 for good condition and $9855 for excellent so he's a little over the top on the price.

Good luck with whatever happens.

He said he would take $10,000 for it, I'll upload some pics.

That is alot of miles but he drove alot and it was his daily driver. I asked him for the vin# and I'm going to run an OASIS report.

I new to this board, as I got my 2000 HD 3 weeks ago, but what is an OASIS report? As a sidenote, I only paid 2k more than this for my 29,xxx mile truck. I thought that was a great deal, but I think a good search will find you a better deal. I would be scared of that mileage.

Of course he will take 10k for it because that's more than it's worth.
You normally only pay a premium for something with low miles. Not something that's done twice as many as it should have.
Like I said, check out the service history. If it doesn't have one, it may not have been serviced correctly.
Any enthusiast keeps a service history even if they do it themselves. I have receipts for all my oil and filters.

I'd give him no more than 7 for it. Maybe 8 if it was in super super super condition. There was a 2000 at a dealer around here with 80K on it for 12.

Thats a steal..

I looked up both KBB and NADA values and it is between $9900-13,000 WITH the high miles. With low miels they are close to $16,000. So thats a good deal if it has never been wrecked or anything...

Mobil 1 every 3000K miles and changed plugs a few times already as well. I have pics I can post..it looks like ALOT less miles than it is.

I have looked all over and have found a few that were a better deal but all the way across country. So in the end it would cost me ALOT more if I had to have it shipped.

Sounds like a Roadtrip. And yes I think the deal I got was really good, No accidents, the bed cap had a few scratches touched up, perfect interior, otherwise bone stock. I talked to original owner about service history, etc. And because I bought it from a Ford dealer, I have a 3 month, 4000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

I went and looked at the truck last week and it was better in person than in the pics. The truck has been garaged since new and the paint is nicer than most 05's I have seen! There is ONE ding in the whole truck and no scratches anywhere at all..the paint looks REALLY good. I'm a detailer so I went over the truck a few times and was very impressed with the truck inside and out. It runs/drives like a low mileage truck and looks like one too. I searched ALL classifieds online and this was the best deal I could find and not far from me. I will post pics this weekend.
