I have a line valve mod and Xcal2 from Troyer.
Shifts like a stocker under normal use but bangs like a sh1thouse door during Hurricane Hugo at WOT

good reading that may help you decide:

FYI, I have the FTVB in both my Lightning and HD F-150.

Interesting read, but, to be honest, at the end I wasn't sure exactly what was to be gained from the product. Is it promising performance, longevity, or both? I am thinking both, but I didn't feel it was really directly addressed.

Is this something that would be wise just about anyone to do in the sense it would vastly imrpove the life of your transmission and possibly save hundreds if not thousands of dollars much down the road?

LONGEVITY? I say yes, below copied from article:
"A shorter shift duration has a performance feel, and generally is better for the clutches, because the wear on the plates happens during this “slip”. Shortening duration also will reduce heat, which is responsible for most automatic transmission failures."

PERFORMANCE? More a SOTP (seat of the pants) gain from the shorter, firmer shifts. Best to drive in a truck with the FTVB so you'll experience firsthand why hundreds of users swear by this mod.
