2000 H.d.

Just looked at a 2000 H.D. It has 88k on it, mint condition. Asking 14K. Is it worth it. Is this a good year to get or are there any complaints. I drove it, seems awesome. Thanks for any info!

Is this a private seller or dealer? Any mods? IMO, no 2000 vehicle is in mint condition. Just a guess, I'll say 12K-12.5K.

Its being sold at a Ford Dealer. It is in absolute MINT condition, the carfax thing they use shows it was one oner, think older gentleman, who took very good care of it. I am a mechanic, and I'm really impressed at the shape its in. I can not find anything wrong with it, the seats look brand new still. Ford loan dept closed too early sat for me to find out if its mine yet. Monday around noon I should know if I'm getting it or not. Dealer told me to clean out my Expy though and get ready to be the owner of the H.D.!

To me, that truck sounds great!!! 88K is nothing, its just breaking in!! I'd go for it if I were you. there asking for 14K? You always buy the truck for a little less then what there asking, so maybe you can get away with 12.5 or 13K?

what color is this truck anyway?

Its black, extended cab flareside. It is bone stock. The dealer said the exhaust on it was stock, but to me it sounds alittle loud to be stock, which is awesome to me. Think the only thing the other owner did to it was tint the windows alittle darker. This is going to be a long day, I'm in suspence over whether they give me the loan or not. I know I shouldn't be worried, but this truck is incredible and I REALLY want it!!

Best of luck and hope you get your "baby." if you shall ever have ANY question at all about the '00 HD, make sure you get in touch with Josh (Harley#356) here:
http://www.nhtoc.net/vbforum/showthr...threadid=24391

he's in the process of converting his '00 to a 4R100 tranny, new engine & supercharger...gonna be one heck of a sleeper.

Also, you are in luck because you can get an awesome deal on the gift packs that were given to brand new HD owners (these babies are BLANK, so you can have your future truck's VIN #, build date, build # and name engraved on it). Contact DynoJoe, tell him kromdom gave you his contact:

Its official, I'm the proud owner of a 2000 H.D. I didn't get the first one I looked at, instead got one with 40K on it. It is just as mint as the other one, just way less miles. I'll post picts within the next few days. I Really, Really love this truck, it runs and sounds awesome. Thanks kromdom for the links, I'll check them later, and thanks everyone else for your input.

Sorry guys, had to work all day today. I promise to have picts posted tomorrow or saturday at the latest. And yes, I keep looking in the garage at her, and still can't believe I own a H.D. And of course, today I added my K&N Filter and the cold air intake. Wow, what a difference. Sounds incredible! I love this truck more and more every minute of the day. All day at work I kept peering outside counting the minutes I had till I could drive her again! The guys at work left puddles of drool! Its great to have something that attracts so much attention. Ok, I'll stop rambling and tomorrow I'll get picts and get the VIN on here. Thanks again all!!

Sorry, my internet connection at home crashed so I haven't been able to post those picts. Been told it'll be fixed tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can get online at home. So far I have put cold air intake on it, did the fog light mod, put infinity speakers in and built a custom subwoofer box. It has been a rather miserable, rainy week, so I can't wait till Saturday to shine her back up. As soon as I get my internet back, my picts will be posted!
