2006 H/D Model ???
2006 H/D Model ???
Guess I was a little surprised after I started comparing different trucks today.
Has anyone else noticed Ford is getting soft in the Harley models? I am a very proud owner of an 03 HD and found myself wondering where Ford is going with this level of truck.
Ford has changed the Harley Edition from a Sport Truck to an F250 now back to a F150 with a stock 300HP engine and 60lbs-ft less torque. This is less horsepower than a Nissan Titan! If you take the Supercharger out of a 03 Harley you have a Supercrew F150 with some expensive tires and rims and some different seats that cost you ten grand more than the same stock truck! Same with the 06. The Harley and the Lighting were the hottest stock trucks out there. Now Dodge SRT, Titan and SC Tundra have caught up.
One of the biggest reasons I bought a Harley was the Supercharger. Yes you could add an aftermarket however the stock SC is built into the design and is proven. This new Harley package is interior and appearence upgrades only! 400 HP with the new upgrades, ok were back on track! I'm already paying for Super Unleaded so what difference does a few less miles per gallon make!
I like the look of the 22" rims but not enough to spend big bucks and the time to find the tires! The 20" is not exactly a "common" find! I was reading about the Lincoln Mark ??? for 06. Still missing are the Navigation, Entertainment and Ride Control being offered by competators for less $$$. I say this because the Lincoln model, Harley and King Ranch are the highest on the price scale. If I'm going to pay $40 Grand + for a pickup I need some better than minor stock options!

Audiocableguy,
Glad someone else noticed that. I was looking at the fact in 2006, the H/D is only available in a Supercab. Huh? For the couple grand extra for some overly-priced emblems, I'll get a Supercrew and doll it up to a head turner, and have something. The new graphics scheme is gay. And wheels are cheap now a days. The H/D wheels look just like the Lariat chrome package wheels, only in a larger size. If you spent that kind of lettuce, wouldn't you want wheels that stood apart from the black Lariat next to you at Wal-Mart? Probably the decision of the same a$$ at the Oval that did away with the Excursion.

I say if you are going to charge $10k more than a regular model F150, you should make it worth my while to buy it!
