Just bought an '03 Harley...

well i've NEVER been a ford guy.. i've had 4 previous vehicles and all GM. I was looking for something different. It seems every two years i get bored with what I have and end up getting something very different. I was looking at f-250s, chevy 2500HDs, etc... i wanted something huge.. four door long bed and just a monster.... well until i tested an 02 harley davidson f150... loved it but whoever had it previously scratched it all up, dents in the rear bumper, missing panels on the interior, the s/c was painted light blue..NOTHING blue on the truck cept the blue oval, etc... just lots really messed up with it. so i did some looking on the net and saw that the 03 had the spark plug issue fixed and was more collectable it seemed than the 02s so i started looking.... found 3 within 100 miles of me for sale... made an offer on one but they replied that it had sold already.... went to the 2nd one i found and they said the owner of the dealership was using it as his truck and it would be a few days before he came back... got a call a few days later saying it was on the lot... i didn't know how much it was or what color it was at this point... when i got the call saying it was on the lot i just had got his message i hadn't talked to him yet saying i was still interested... so a day later i just drove to the dealer to look and see if it was the silver/black truck i wanted... it was.. also had a bed cover, carpeted bed, and the rubber harley mat over the floor carpet to protect it.

anyways long story short ... i got it...

Congrats. Look clean. Is it stock?

BTW...If you haven't already, you should check out www.nhtoc.com. Little more traffic than this forum. You have a lot more Lightning traffic here than HD.

Best of luck with it.

thanks guys! yeah the truck's stock with 21,900 miles. absolutely mint condition. It did come with a leer bed cover and the bed is carpeted with the rubber harley mat ontop of the floor carpet to protect it. I really dont want to mess with it too much so it will keep up it's value. It's hard because i'm so use to doing a ton to my rides. I just finished redoing my site so you can see my 2nd truck, first trans am, second trans am, and the new truck.

i may go out today and buy a k&n filter for it since it's just got the paper filter in there now. not too much in a hurry to do stuff to it yet.

what should i do first though.. change the pulley i would assume?
